Ohio State replaces BYU at No. 2 in AP Top 25; Georgia No. 3 in new poll

Ohio State moved up to No. 2 in the new Associated Press Top 25 after BYU’s loss to UCF triggered a major shakeup, with BYU falling six spots to No. 8. Miami remained No. 1, the only team to hold its position and also routing Pitt 52-23 at home in its first game as top-ranked since 2002. The AP poll saw even more disruption than last week: after five of the top seven teams lost, three more top-10 programs went down Saturday. Georgia rose to No. 3, Indiana jumped to No. 4 on an overtime win over Michigan, and Notre Dame slipped to No. 5 after an idle week. Utah and UCLA stayed unbeaten in the Bowl Subdivision group.
