More than 774 flights were delayed and 70 were canceled across the United States on Wednesday as a mix of operational issues and forecast weather disrupted travel. Washington, D.C.’s Reagan National Airport recorded the highest disruption levels, with 37 delays and 23 cancellations, FlightAware reported. American Airlines logged the most impact among U.S. carriers, with 81 delayed flights and 18 canceled. The FAA said Tuesday’s equipment failure led to a ground stop at Reagan National, contributing to residual delays. The agency also warned winds could slow flights in Boston, parts of New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, plus thunderstorms in south and central Florida and low clouds in Atlanta, Charlotte, and San Francisco.
