Patriots, TreVeyon Henderson Remain Optimistic About Ankle Injury
Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson remains optimistic after an ankle injury he suffered against the Las Vegas Raiders. Henderson underwent an MRI this week and was limited in practice; he later confirmed the injury is a high-ankle sprain. Although he looked better during parts of practice, his availability is still uncertain heading into Week 6 versus the New York Jets. He was listed as questionable, a status coach Mike Vrabel said depends on how Henderson responds in the morning and how the team evaluates him. Henderson said he felt somewhat different than expected from the diagnosis and MRI. He had run for 163 yards and one touchdown this season before being downgraded to out at halftime last week. If he can’t play, Corey Kiner is a key depth option.
