Pilot's tragic last four words before horror Concorde plane crash killed 113

A tragic final exchange was recorded before the Concorde crash of 2000 that killed 113 people, after a damaged tyre turned a takeoff attempt into a fatal sequence. Moments before Air France flight AF4590 departed runway 26R near Paris, a Continental Airlines DC-10 shed a small titanium strip onto the runway. As AF4590 accelerated at over 180mph, it struck the metal strip with one of its tyres, and the aircraft could not abort shortly after 2:43pm because it had passed the V1 marker. On that day, V1 was 173mph while AF4590 was traveling at 185mph. The Concorde stalled and hit the Hotellissimo Les Relais Bleus hotel in the village of Gonesse, killing four staff on the ground and all 109 aboard. The Guardian reported the captain, Christian Marty, said, “Too late...No time.” The official report concluded the crew could not avert the disaster.
