Potential nor'easter may cause flight disruptions at Boston's Logan Airport this weekend

Travelers flying to or from Boston Logan International this weekend may face delays or cancellations as forecasters track a potential nor’easter over Massachusetts. The storm threat spans roughly seven days and could bring strong winds and heavy rain along the coast. WBZ-TV quoted airline pilot Patrick Smith, who runs “Ask the Pilot,” saying high winds can force runway changes—and sometimes prohibit takeoffs or landings if the wind won’t align with runway directions. While Logan has multiple runway orientations, some in less optimal positions could close. NEXT Weather expects gusts peaking near 55 mph. Smith noted flights are most likely grounded if winds exceed 40 mph.
