The conciliation committee has reached a deal that will be officially ratified and then must be approved by the full European Parliament. Flemish MEP Kathleen Van Brempt and BEUC welcomed the outcome as a practical resolution after years of debate. The agreement preserves passenger protections while avoiding the worst outcomes, BEUC said, marking the end of a decade-long negotiation over air passenger rights.
