Rejects Iran's claims of destroying F-35 jets in missile attack

US Central Command rejected Iranian claims that a missile strike destroyed F-35 fighter jets and other aircraft at Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan. CENTCOM said none of its aircraft sustained damage, and that all incoming missiles and drones were intercepted or failed to reach their intended targets. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had alleged that three F-35 stealth aircraft were destroyed, three more were damaged, and that several US military personnel, including technical staff, were killed. CENTCOM also dismissed Tehran’s statements about maritime actions in the Strait of Hormuz, including reports that the oil tanker M/T Nora broke through a US naval blockade. The command said more than 20 warships and hundreds of military aircraft enforce a “steel wall blockade,” redirecting 24 commercial vessels and boarding four others.
