Rooney takes aim at pitiful Cristiano Ronaldo over 'so wrong' refusal to accept he's finished

Wayne Rooney criticized Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal exit during the international break, calling his comments “so wrong.” Ronaldo left the Portugal camp after what he said were broken promises from manager Jorge Jesus, then stayed unused against Norway, was told he would not start against Denmark, and reportedly flew away on a private jet in anger before acknowledging he deserved punishment for his reaction. Rooney, speaking on Stick to United, said Ronaldo’s behavior undermined his manager, teammates, and even the Portuguese federation. He also said it was “uncomfortable to see” Ronaldo struggling to accept that his time at the highest level is ending. Ronaldo’s lengthy statement included an eight-point list of items he wanted Jesus to convey publicly.
