RTX's Pratt & Whitney Canada Signs 5-Yr Maintenance Deal With Ireland's Emerald Airlines

RTX’s Pratt & Whitney Canada has signed a contract with Ireland’s Emerald Airlines for nearly five years of maintenance, repair and overhaul services for PW127M engines. The deal runs until 2030 and covers ATR 72-600 regional turboprops powered by the PW127M. Maintenance will be delivered primarily at Pratt & Whitney Canada’s facility in Singapore, with additional support from the company’s Montreal site. Emerald Airlines is identified as the exclusive operator of the Aer Lingus Group Plc’s regional route network. The PW100 engine family is described as offering 25% to 40% greater fuel efficiency and corresponding CO2 reductions versus comparable regional jets, and it is compatible with biofuels, including up to a 50% blend of synthetic aviation fuel. RTX shares were trading slightly higher at $194.51 during the overnight session.
