Russia reports one of the biggest Ukrainian drone attacks on its soil and annexed Crimea
Russia says it faced one of its biggest Ukrainian drone attacks since the full-scale invasion, reporting it intercepted 660 drones overnight over 12 regions, including annexed Crimea and areas over the Azov and Black Seas. The Russian Defense Ministry described the strike as spanning multiple locations, framing it as a major escalation against Russian military installations and energy infrastructure. In the Tula region south of Moscow, Gov. Dmitry Milyaev said a private house was damaged and a woman was wounded, with a power line and an industrial facility in Novomoskovsk also affected. Astra reported fires at a chemical and hydroelectric plant in Novomoskovsk, but the Associated Press could not independently verify it. Separately, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said 47 drones were downed en route to the capital.
