Russian missile and drone attack on Ukraine's capital kills at least 10
Russian missile and drone attacks struck Kyiv early Monday, killing at least 10 people and injuring 46 others, according to Ukrainian authorities. The strikes came hours after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that another large-scale attack was imminent. Officials reported direct hits on residential high-rise buildings in two areas, including the Podilskyi district where a residential building partially collapsed, and the Darnytsia district where multiple apartment blocks were damaged and people were believed trapped under rubble. The attack involved waves of ballistic and cruise missiles as well as drones. Explosions were heard across the city as civilians sought shelter in metro stations. The report follows a separate combined Russian attack on Kyiv last week that killed at least 31 people, and Zelenskyy renewed calls for more Western air-defense support, including Patriot missiles.
