Ryanair launches flights from £29.99 from Birmingham to Rome and Copenhagen
Ryanair is launching new routes from Birmingham, starting with fares from £29.99, and is positioning additional capacity at the airport for Winter 2026. The airline says it is basing a ninth aircraft at Birmingham as part of a US$900 million investment designed to support more than 3,270 local jobs. The new services will include Copenhagen, Rome Fiumicino, Warsaw Modlin, Marrakesh and Tirana, while frequencies will increase on seven existing routes such as Barcelona, Poznan and Budapest. Ryanair chief marketing officer Dara Brady said the £29.99 introductory fares will not last long, warning they could disappear within “a few days to a week.” Birmingham Airport’s commercial chief Matt Hazelwood described the move as a strong vote of confidence in the airport and the region.
