Ryanair passenger partially sucked out of broken window during flight
A Ryanair Boeing 737-800 flight is back in Thessaloniki after a mid-air window failure partially sucked a passenger out of the aircraft. The incident occurred on Friday at 6.01am local time on a route from Thessaloniki to Memmingen, Germany. Greek local media reported the victim was a Serbian man in his 60s, with his head reportedly pulled toward the opening, before other passengers helped him back into the cabin after several minutes. Reports said the window shattered when an engine part broke off, and footage from Radio Thessaloniki showed a damaged window and deployed oxygen masks. Ryanair said the aircraft landed normally, and one passenger received medical assistance on the ground in Thessaloniki. Flight tracking indicated the plane turned back about 22 minutes after take-off, then burned fuel for roughly half an hour before landing about one hour and 15 minutes after departure.
