Ryanair warns of delays to UK flights as heavy fog hits parts of the country
Ryanair warned that heavy fog could delay UK-bound flights on Sunday, 1 November. In an update posted after 3am, the airline said some flights to and from the UK are delayed due to dense fog and that affected passengers will be contacted through the airline’s app. It also urged travelers passing through the UK to monitor the app for the latest information. The Met Office issued a yellow warning covering areas including Bristol, London, Birmingham, Nottingham and Hull, from Norwich to Brighton and from east Wales to Somerset, with visibility potentially falling below 100 metres. The warning was set to run until 10am, though fog patches may linger into the afternoon. Ryanair added that road travel and bus, train and ferry services could also be slowed.
