Emirates is unveiling its new U-Dream headrest, a design aimed at replacing traditional neck pillows and improving long-haul comfort in economy class. The Dubai-based carrier introduced the system on Monday and Business Insider reporters tested it onboard an Airbus A350-900 during the Farnborough Airshow. The headrest uses two side wings that fold down and inward to cradle the head, while the unit can move vertically and tilt to suit different passenger heights and body types. Emirates said it plans to install the new headrests on all 25 A350s by the end of the year, and on most A380 and 777 aircraft starting in 2027. The airline also highlighted a 3-3-3 seating layout, 31–32 inch seat pitch, and features including electronic window shades and Bluetooth connectivity.
