Seven airlines offer free 10kg fruit check-in at 20 Thai airports

Seven airlines will offer passengers a free check-in of up to 10kg of fresh fruit at 20 airports across Thailand under a year-long programme starting Sept 1, 2026. The Commerce Ministry’s Department of Internal Trade has signed an agreement with the Transport Ministry’s Department of Airports and partners including Thai Airways International, Thai AirAsia, Bangkok Airways, Nok Air, Thai Lion Air, Thai Vietjet Air and EZY Airlines. Each passenger can receive one standard fruit box capped at 10kg, supplied by the department to participating airports. Airports will provide collection points and temporary sales spaces, while only dry, moisture-free fresh fruit meeting strict packaging rules will be accepted.
