Skyways Expands Long-Range Autonomous Cargo Capabilities Through a Commercial Offshore Logistics Partnership with DSV

Skyways says it’s expanding long-range autonomous offshore cargo capabilities through a commercial logistics partnership with DSV. The companies plan to deploy Skyways unmanned aircraft in the North Sea, starting with an initial run from Norden, Germany, later this fall. Under the agreement, Skyways will supply flight-proven autonomous aircraft, specialized pilot training, and technical, maintenance and regulatory support. DSV will handle local flight staffing and coordinate with aviation authorities for required authorizations. Skyways positions its aircraft as suited to long distances and limited access in harsh maritime conditions, offering an alternative to helicopter and conventional shipping for high-value equipment and supplies.
