Southwest Flight Attendant Jenny Lupton's Cause of Death Revealed After Hawaii Discovery
Southwest Airlines flight attendant Jenny Lupton, 50, died by suicide after falling from the 24th floor of the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki, according to the Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office. Her body was discovered near a dumpster at the resort, about 10 miles from Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. Lupton was staying in Hawaii during a layover while working for the Texas-based carrier and had planned to remain in the state for several days before returning home. Initial information provided to her family indicated she fell from a balcony, but relatives questioned the circumstances. The Honolulu Police Department opened an investigation on Aug. 24, the same day her family requested it, and said it remains open even after the medical examiner classified the death as suicide.
