Stock Watch: Drake Maye playmaking makes up for A.J. Brown drops vs. Jets
In a Stock Watch recap of the Patriots’ 26-19 Week 6 win over the Jets, Phil Perry highlighted Drake Maye’s production and New England’s depth. Maye threw three touchdown passes and has now recorded back-to-back games with zero turnovers. A.J. Brown, returning from a high ankle sprain, struggled to make an impact. Perry also credited the offense’s late-game execution during the four-minute unit, noting that injuries forced replacements at guard, with Walter Rouse and Matt Pryor stepping in for Alijah Vera-Tucker and Ben Brown. The offensive line allowed zero sacks. On defense, reserve corner Charles Woods made a fourth-quarter interception, while linebacker Robert Spillane contributed a run-stop and key fourth-down stop. Overall, the Patriots stayed unbeaten over Maye’s last three games.
