Stunning: Alaska Airlines Unveils Lie-Flat 737 MAX 10 "Aurora Suites," Boosts 787 With 46% Premium Seating

Alaska Airlines is expanding premium travel with its new “Aurora” experience for Boeing 787 Dreamliners and select Boeing 737 MAX 10 aircraft, announced September 29, 2026. The lie-flat “Aurora Suites” will roll out on the widebody fleet and, for the first time, on selected transcontinental routes using brand-new 737s starting in 2028. The carrier is also introducing “Premium Reserve,” a premium-economy cabin between the lie-flat product and its existing Premium Class, targeting about 46% premium seating on its 787-9s. On the 787, Aurora features 34 lie-flat suites with direct aisle access, privacy doors, storage, and 19-inch 4K entertainment. Premium Reserve will debut in 2028 across Alaska’s 787 fleet, select 737-10 MAX jets and Hawaiian’s Airbus A330s.
