China Airlines began daily flights between Taichung and Okinawa on Tuesday, expanding its Taiwan–Japan network to more than 170 flights per week. Service starts with flight CI310 departing Taichung at 10:00 a.m. and arriving at Naha Airport at 12:40 p.m. local time, with return flight CI311 leaving Okinawa at 1:40 p.m. and landing in Taichung at 2:10 p.m. Starting August 13, the schedule will double, adding flight CI312 from Taichung at 3:20 p.m. arriving in Okinawa at 6:00 p.m., and flight CI313 leaving Naha at 7:00 p.m. to arrive in Taichung at 7:30 p.m. The airline said the Taichung–Okinawa route uses Airbus A321neo aircraft. The increased frequency is intended to offer travelers earlier departures and later returns. The carrier is also running promotions with added entertainment options and specific food offerings such as a “Pokemon Sky Bento” and pineapple cakes.
