Teen mother, brother shot and killed following confrontation in north Houston, HCSO says

A 17-year-old mother and her 29-year-old brother were shot and killed in north Houston, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The shooting occurred Sunday morning on West Camino Road near Airline Drive. Investigators said the sister was outside when her 19-year-old ex-boyfriend arrived to confront her. Deputies said the brother tried to de-escalate the situation, but the ex-boyfriend opened fire, killing both. The HCSO said the suspect was later taken into custody after Humble police located him on Will Clayton Parkway. Angel Javier Rodriguez, 19, was charged with capital murder in connection with the shootings.
