Texas World Cup Drone Violations Bring FBI Crackdown
Texas World Cup drone violations are prompting an FBI crackdown around major match-day areas, with federal action now tied to illegal flights. The report says the FBI seized 39 drones near Dallas Stadium and the World Cup Fan Fest, and that cases are treated as federal crimes once the FBI is involved. According to WFAA, federal agents have confiscated dozens of drones in Arlington and Dallas as large crowds keep packing venues. The FIFA World Cup began on June 11, and since then authorities report that 39 drones have been found flying illegally. Officials say the enforcement is meant to ensure compliance rather than simply expand seizures. They warn that operating a drone in restricted areas can carry penalties up to $100,000, potential prison time, and confiscation of the drone.
