This airline takes workers on what might be the most unusual commute in Canada

Rise Air is offering a commute that’s as remote as it gets in northern Saskatchewan: passengers travel on a Beechcraft King Air where there’s no door between the cockpit and the cabin, and the flight crew interacts with the same eight riders on regular routes. Bryan Bagi flies the pattern on a nearly daily schedule during a two-week rotation, timing with shift work for uranium mines. Demand for uranium has surged as countries seek low-emission energy, and Rise Air has a deal worth $500 million with Canada’s uranium miners Cameco and Orano, which together supply nearly a quarter of global reactor fuel. The airline checks large bags at its Saskatoon hub and boarding is quick using paper slips instead of traditional passes.
