TPConnects powers EGYPTAIR to become first airline in Middle East and Africa to deploy IATA NDC 24.4

TPConnects says it has enabled EGYPTAIR to become the first airline in the Middle East and Africa to deploy IATA NDC 24.4 in production. The deployment on the TPConnects Astra platform was completed in production, with TPConnects highlighting improvements in pricing accuracy, order servicing, and streamlined accounting for travel partners. The announcement follows TPConnects’ NDC 24.4 certification and EGYPTAIR’s onboarding of travel sellers using enhanced capabilities through Astra. TPConnects frames NDC 24.4 as delivering benefits in order management, advanced order servicing, and order accounting with real-time order-based accounting and automatic proration. The company said EGYPTAIR’s adoption supports modern airline retailing and continued innovation in distribution technology. TPConnects’ VP for airline accounts, Kristiaan VanDijken, called the production go-live a strategic milestone. EGYPTAIR is Egypt’s state-owned flag carrier and a Star Alliance member.
