Ukrainian drones target major Russian oil refinery -- RT Russia & Former Soviet Union

Ukrainian drones struck the Omsk Oil Refinery in Russia’s Omsk Region, marking the first such attack in central Russia since the Ukraine conflict began. The attack occurred after several UAVs reached the city’s northern industrial zone, according to Governor Vitaly Khotsenko, who said most drones were destroyed by air defenses and that preliminary information indicated no deaths or injuries. Russian media reported air-raid sirens in Omsk’s Central and Oktyabrsky districts and said the threat prompted a temporary suspension of arrivals and departures at Omsk airport, with flights halted over the region. The refinery is operated by Gazprom Neft and has 20.5 million tons of crude capacity annually, producing products including gasoline, diesel, aviation kerosene, and bitumen. Russia’s Defense Ministry said over 600 Ukrainian drones were destroyed or suppressed across more than 20 regions.
