United Airlines flights delayed nationwide after 'technology issue'
United Airlines flights across the United States were delayed Saturday after the carrier cited a “technology issue” affecting operations at multiple major airports. Reports from passengers on social media described disruptions at locations including Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia and Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. Some travelers said they faced delays, while others reported problems with check-in, boarding, and baggage handling. Down Detector showed the first complaints before 7:40 a.m., and by 8:23 a.m. it had logged more than 430 reports. United later said the issue was resolved, with a spokesperson stating operations were returning to normal. The airline did not provide further technical details. The incident follows the broader context of past airline disruptions tied to CrowdStrike-related outages.
