United Airlines says it will introduce a new Economy Plus seating concept on its upcoming Airbus A321XLR fleet. The design targets long international routes with extra elbow room and a shared table across the middle seat, United says will improve comfort for travelers. The airline also plans to be the first U.S. carrier to offer this specific Economy Plus option on the A321XLR. United is positioning the cabin layout as a differentiator as narrowbody long-haul aircraft move closer to service entry.
