Vietjet opens bookings for first-ever direct flights between Sri Lanka-Vietnam from 18 Aug. | Daily FT
Vietjet opens bookings for its first-ever direct flights between Sri Lanka and Vietnam, launching a new Colombo–Ho Chi Minh City route on 18 August 2026. The carrier says it will operate three round-trip flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with a flight time of about five hours. To mark the start, Vietjet offers Eco fares from $90 one-way (all-in). Passengers who book Deluxe and SkyBoss tickets can receive a 20% discount on base fares, excluding taxes and fees. Tickets are available via Vietjet’s website, the Vietjet Air mobile app, ticket offices and authorised travel agents. The airline positions the link as a way to boost tourism, business and cultural ties between the two countries, while expanding connectivity through its network across the Asia-Pacific.
