Walton County man gets 35 years in child enticement case

A Walton County, Georgia, man was sentenced to decades in prison after being convicted in a child enticement case involving indecent purposes. The Walton County District Attorney’s Office said Benjamin Seth Ramey received a total sentence of 35 years on Thursday, with the first 25 years to be served in prison and the remaining 10 years on probation. A jury in Walton County found Ramey guilty on May 8, 2026, of enticing a child for indecent purposes and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. During the sentencing hearing, Senior Judge Mingledorff heard arguments from both prosecutors and the defense before accepting the state’s recommended punishment. The office announced the sentence following the hearing.
