Newly released video shows passengers on a Sepehran Airlines Boeing 737 flight over Iran screaming in panic and praying as violent shaking after takeoff damaged the cabin. The clip captures a man repeatedly pleading “Ya, Ali… Ya, Ali.” The incident occurred Tuesday after the plane departed Mashhad in northeastern Iran for Kermanshah, according to reports. Media accounts said the aircraft may have suffered engine damage and a blown tire during takeoff. The pilot reportedly declared an emergency and returned to Mashhad Hashemi Nejad International Airport, landing safely but temporarily closing one of the airport’s two runways. Authorities reported no injuries among 127 passengers and crew.
