What's Going On with Boeing Stock Today? - Boeing (NYSE:BA)
Boeing shares rose Wednesday after the Pentagon awarded the company the full-scale development contract for the U.S. Navy’s F/A-XX stealth fighter, a deal worth more than $20 billion. The Navy selection beat Northrop Grumman. The program is intended to begin taking over from the F/A-18E/F Super Hornets and EA-18G Growlers once aircraft start arriving in the 2030s. Michael Duffey, head of acquisition, called it a “crucial, non-negotiable investment.” Boeing CEO Steve Parker said the company’s facility investments support execution. The win is Boeing’s second sixth-generation fighter contract in two years, following its 2025 Air Force F-47 award against Lockheed Martin. Analysts note the stock remains below key moving averages, with attention on $215.50 and $187.50 levels.
