World: Fighter jets, drones in heavy Somalia fighting

Heavy fighting involving fighter jets and drones erupted Monday in Baidoa, Somalia, after an attack by thousands of fighters loyal to an ousted local governor, according to local authorities and army officials. They said the attackers numbered about 2,000 to 3,000 and entered from several directions in vehicles loaded with explosives and explosive drones. The national army confronted them, inflicted heavy casualties, and drove them out, a senior commander said.
