World's biggest plane is set to undergo mind-blowing upgrade that will revolutionize flying
Airbus is preparing a major look at how the world’s largest passenger jet could feel after an interior upgrade, with a concept video centered on the AIRSPACE cabin design. The video depicts features such as wider three-seat rows, ambient ceiling lighting, and screens built into the roof for real-time flight directions or projections of passing clouds. It also shows interactive windows that can function as countdown timers and even display films. Airbus says the A380 rollout for the new interior is expected by 2030, and the aircraft typically carries 500 to 600 passengers, though it can hold up to 853. The concept includes rotating seats for socializing areas, seatback and ceiling screens with a “cosmic” theme, and an onboard bar. Airbus also describes sleeping pods, a dedicated workout space, and a personal AI assistant that can offer comfort tips and food or drink ordering.
