Zelenskyy says Russia is shifting air defenses to Moscow and other key sites after drone strikes
Zelenskyy says Russia is shifting air defenses to protect Moscow and other key sites after Ukrainian drone strikes, as Kyiv’s forces strike deeper inside Russia. In overnight attacks, Zelenskyy said two Russian oil refineries in Ufa, about 1,500 kilometers from the front, and an oil depot in Russia’s Krasnodar region, roughly 300 kilometers from Ukraine, were hit. He also said Russia is redeploying air-defense launchers to the capital and to Valdai, 500 kilometers northwest of Moscow, as well as to defend the Kerch Bridge linking Crimea to the Russian mainland. The claims cannot be independently verified and Russian officials made no immediate comment. The shift could leave other regions more exposed as Ukraine’s drones now can fly more than 1,500 kilometers, according to Zelenskyy.
