Alderney Week benefits from most travel options yet

Alderney Week is set to be its busiest yet, with more routes and operators able to bring visitors to the island. Vicky Chandler, who leads the organising team with her husband Wayne, said the island is “really busy,” citing an increase in yacht arrivals and support from Islands Unlimited, Alderney Ferry Services, Finistair and the Water Taxi. Alderney Ferry Services is fully booked for the week and coordinated with other small-boat operators. Aurigny flights from Southampton to Alderney are sold out, while only a few seats remain from Guernsey. Alderney Ferry Services’ director Charlie Smith called the event crucial for the island’s visitor economy and community.
