All lanes of the northbound 710 Freeway in Long Beach closed after pursuit ends in police shooting

All lanes of the northbound 710 Freeway in Long Beach were shut down after a police pursuit ended in an officer-involved shooting Monday morning. The California Highway Patrol issued a Sig Alert for the stretch at Long Beach Boulevard, which connects to both the eastbound and westbound 91 Freeway and the transitions from the northbound 405 and 710. Long Beach police said the incident began around 12:24 a.m. when officers located a suspect vehicle tied to a shooting on Aquarium Way. Three people suffered non-life-threatening injuries there.
