An 'adorable' dolphin was spotted in trouble at Chelsea marina

An “adorable” dolphin, described by local officials as a harbor porpoise, was spotted struggling at Chelsea’s Admirals Hill Marina on Tuesday. A Facebook post from the City of Chelsea said the animal was circling the docks and had difficulty finding its way back to Boston Harbor after being observed in the marina area. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) was notified, and Whale and Dolphin Conservation, a nonprofit focused on porpoises, monitored the situation. Later that afternoon, the dolphin swam back to the harbor on its own. The incident remained a localized marine response effort involving federal and conservation organizations.
