Anchor Julie Nelson offers update after boat accident: 'I look forward to seeing you all soon'
Anchor Julie Nelson posted another update after a June 13 boating accident that kept her off the air. In a Facebook message, the KARE-11 presenter said she has been focused on healing and getting stronger, without giving a specific timeline for returning to the anchor desk. Nelson and her husband, Kurt Krumenauer, were hospitalized after a one-boat pontoon crash on Balsam Lake in Wisconsin. She previously said their injuries were “non-life threatening.” In her latest update Wednesday, Nelson reported she is making “great progress” and expects to return to work soon, but noted that nerves in her right arm are injured and that nerve recovery is slow and unpredictable. The 54-year-old has been with KARE-11 since 2003 and anchors the 5, 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts.
