Annual Women's Fishing
Now in its 26th year, the Glasgow Women's Fishing Tournament stands as a Fort Peck institution. The event welcomes two-woman teams and will fish Fort Peck Reservoir from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Walleye is the primary species, with northern pike and bass also eligible under tournament rules. The competition is hosted by Walleyes Unlimited of Montana—the Glasgow/Fort Peck chapter, the same group behind the Fort Peck Circuit of walleye tournaments. The tournament has long been one of the most welcoming on the Fort Peck calendar, drawing repeat teams from Montana, North Dakota, and beyond.
Many teams build the weekend around the tournament, with a Friday-night rules meeting at the Fort Peck Hotel and a Saturday afternoon awards ceremony after weigh-in. The modest entry fee and the family-friendly format help draw competitors from Montana, North Dakota and beyond, all eager to test their skills on Fort Peck’s renowned walleye fishery. The event also serves as a welcome introduction to competitive walleye fishing for new teams and a long-standing social highlight on the Fort Peck calendar.
