Bills 'in Talks' to Acquire $48 Million Star Defensive Back: Report

The Buffalo Bills have struggled defensively, allowing 28.5 points per game and ranking 31st in pass defense, and defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard has said the unit often looks “confused.” With the Titans appearing open to selling after starting 1-6, multiple reports indicate Buffalo is discussing a trade for safety Amani Hooker, after Tennessee traded All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons to the Chicago Bears. Kevin Massare of Bills Roundtable said sources claim the Bills are actively pursuing a deal, likely involving Hooker. Hooker, 28, has 46 tackles, two interceptions and three passes defensed in six games, with a 70.1 passer rating allowed in coverage.
