Chelsea Have Joined The Race For This Ligue 1 Midfielder: Should Alonso Bring Him On Board?
Chelsea have reportedly entered the race for Lille midfielder Lamine Camara, with competition also said to include Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, Liverpool and Manchester United. The Senegalese midfielder, 22, put in a strong run in Ligue 1 last season with Monaco, making 24 league appearances and scoring three goals with three assists. Camara’s contract at Monaco is set to run until the summer of 2029, which could make a move harder to negotiate “on the cheap” this month. Described as a box-to-box option who can also play as a defensive midfielder or number ten, he’s noted for tackling, reading danger, interceptions and passing, with occasional goal contributions. The report also flags the challenge of adapting to the Premier League’s physical demands and intensity.
