Christopher O'Reilly Explains Why Local Knowledge Matters More Than a Luxury Yacht's Amenities

Palm Beach-based yacht captain Christopher O’Reilly says the best Bahamas charter experience depends less on “luxury yacht” checklists and more on local knowledge. The result, in his view, is a more tailored itinerary—built around familiarity with the waters and destinations rather than relying solely on amenities. The comments were shared on Oct. 21, 2026.
