Coast Guard searching for boater missing off coast of Ocean City

The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a missing boater off Ocean City after a 25-foot recreational vessel departed Sunset Marina and was later found unmanned. Sector Maryland-NCR crews were alerted June 11 and located a vessel matching the description, with no person aboard after initial overflights.

Air and surface assets continue the response, including HC-130J Hercules flights, the Pompano on scene, and Self-Locating Datum Marker Buoys to track drift. Waterway users are asked to keep a lookout and to contact the East District Command Center at 1-833-453-1269 with information.
