Colorado Connector funding measure heads to November ballot

The Colorado Connector funding measure—known as CoCo—has been approved to appear on the November ballot, putting voters in charge of deciding the rail project’s future. The Front Range Passenger Rail District board voted 14-1 on Friday to move the measure forward. The rail line is expected to open in 2029, with an initial phase of eight stops running from Denver’s Union Station north to Fort Collins. Over the next 20 years, district plans call for extending the line south to Colorado Springs and Pueblo. The proposal also targets a major service increase, raising daily round trips from three to 10.
