Corvette Grand Sport Caught In Golden Hour Photo Shoot
Chevrolet revived the Corvette Grand Sport within the mid‑engine C8 generation, delivering a naturally aspirated V8 that underscores the model’s track‑ready focus. The 2027 Grand Sport uses a 6.7‑liter LS6 V8 rated at 535 horsepower and 520 pound‑feet of torque, a step above the outgoing LT2’s 490 hp and 465 lb‑ft. It combines a widebody stance with performance hardware that places it between the Stingray and Z06 in the Corvette lineup. All C8 variants are produced on GM’s Y2 platform at Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Chevrolet accompanied the reveal with a photo series shot at Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club in Nevada, offering a behind‑the‑scenes look at the golden‑hour hero shots. The images show photographers and crew around multiple cars, including a white Grand Sport and a blue example with red fender hash marks, as they carve through a long right‑hand corner with the Nevada mountains providing a dramatic backdrop.
The Grand Sport sits in the Corvette hierarchy above the Stingray and below the Z06 while sharing the Grand Sport X’s appeal. The electrified Grand Sport X adds a front‑mounted electric motor for all‑wheel drive and a combined 721 horsepower, signaling Chevrolet’s broader performance strategy for the C8 lineup. Production remains anchored at Bowling Green, Kentucky, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to its U.S. manufacturing footprint on the Y2 platform.
