Cowboys' left tackle competition between Tyler Guyton, Nate Thomas has been settled
xCruzo Brief
Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer has ended the team’s left tackle competition, naming Tyler Guyton the starter over Nate Thomas. Schottenheimer told reporters in Oxnard on Tuesday that Guyton has been playing well in training camp and that Dallas is pushing Thomas to make another step. The job race was set up during OTAs in June. Guyton, a 2024 first-round pick from Oklahoma, started 10 games last season but has dealt with health and consistency issues. Thomas, a 2024 seventh-rounder, took over and earned four starts after Guyton’s knee injury.
