Empty net: Koivun went fishing after 3M win only to find his luck had run out

After winning his first career title at the 3M Open, Jackson Koivun said he tried to enjoy the moment before heading into Rocket Classic week in Detroit. Speaking with Golf Channel’s Hailey Hunter, Koivun explained that he celebrated in part by doing some fishing at the course, where rods were provided in the locker room, and he spent time at the golf venue soaking in the atmosphere. He also said he didn’t catch anything, joking that he may have used up all his luck on the tee shot at the 18th hole. Koivun, who turned pro about a month earlier, described a mindset of believing he can win each tournament, even if he didn’t expect a victory so soon.
