Famous Shipwrecks Nobody Has Found

Some of the world’s most famous shipwrecks were lost for reasons ranging from storms to disappearances, yet their exact sites still aren’t always found. The article highlights how the RMS Titanic wasn’t located until September 1, 1985, more than 73 years after it sank on April 15, 1912. It also discusses the HMS Bounty, which was sunk during Hurricane Sandy-era conditions after departing from Boothbay Harbor Shipyard on October 21, 2012; 14 of 16 people were recovered, and the vessel went down about 123 nautical miles southeast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina.
