Josh Hartnett and Charlie Heaton say building a father-son relationship for Netflix’s six-episode miniseries “Below” came naturally. In the show, streaming now, they play Calvin and Wade Penney in a misty fishing village in Newfoundland where an unseen threat escalates in the region’s iceberg-filled waters. Hartnett, 48, described the process as “all on the page,” saying he simply had to bring emotions to the scenes with Heaton. Filmed on location in Newfoundland, “Below” marks an additional project in Hartnett’s recent career resurgence that includes “Black Mirror,” “Oppenheimer,” “Trap,” and this month’s “Verity.” Heaton, 32, is also set for a “Peaky Blinders” sequel series after “Industry”.
